Julia interviews Jeffrey Cohen, Jeri Westerson, Will Thomas…
If the Marx Brothers wrote crime fiction...it would be pretty strange, because they’re dead. My friend Jeffrey Cohen is alive and kicking, however, and producing guaranteed laugh-out-loud mysteries, like his new release, It Happened One Knife. Read the interview »
Jeri Westerson’s first novel debuts this Fall. Veil Of Lies features a dispossessed knight-turned-inquirer during the reign of Richard II. I got an advance look and I loved it. Read the interview »
I’ve been on an historic mystery kick lately, and I also loved The Black Hand by Will Thomas, the latest in his gaslamp thriller series set in Victorian London Read the interview »

I Shall Not Want
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your interest and inquiries! No, I haven't finished the Clare Fergusson/Russ Van Alstyne series. The story continues with I Shall Not Want, Minotaur's lead title for June, 2008. Expect to see more of the Van Alstyne family, more of how joining the New York State National Guard affects Clare's life and ministry, a new officer joining the MKPD, and of course, lots and lots more Russ and Clare, as they struggle to come to grips with the events of All Mortal Flesh.
I Shall Not Want will be featured on the new St. Martin‘s Minotaur blog site, MomentsinCrime.com and in their new e-newsletter, The Labyrinth. If you aren’t already subscribed, visit Minotaurbooks.com and sign up.
All Mortal Flesh
All Mortal Flesh is now available in paperback! All Mortal Flesh won the Nero Wolfe Award. It also copped a Gumshoe, and was short listed for the Agatha, Anthony, and Macavity Awards for Best Novel. My thanks to readers and congoers everywhere, and to the member of Mystery Readers International and The Wolfe Pack.
Critical acclaim:
- Publisher’s Weekly Best 100 Books of 2006 selection
